One of the
prettiest spots in Canada, especially in the summer, Kingston is located
where Lake Ontario meets the St Lawrence River, where the Thousand Islands
begin. It is a town rich in Canadian history-. Kingston is a 'water city',
often called the freshwater sailing capital of the world. When Montreal
hosted the summer Olympics in 1976, Kingston was chosen as the venue for al
sailing events.
it was Canada's first
capital city- and rich in the tradition of education, home to two of
Canada's most historic learning institutions- 165 year old Queen's
University, and the Royal Military College. Students will stay on Queen's
campus in a Queen's residence, just a few steps from the lake, and a short
walk to parks, downtown, and Kingston's 'old quarter'. There is no better
place to be in Kingston in the summer.
Kingston is also very close to Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal and Quebec
City.
